Dick Jauron Fired
November 17th, 2009 | by armchair31 |The Buffalo Bills have made their single biggest move today. They have fired coach Dick Jauron. Owner Ralph Wilson has said in the past that he does not believe in firing a coach mid-season but it appears that after only 3 wins in 9 games he has had a change of heart. Although the most logical replacement will be Perry Fewell, it is possible that special teams coach Bobby April may get some consideration as well.
Dick Jauron was on the hot seat all season. It was already a given that Buffalo would fire him at the end of the season, it is surprising that they made the move during the season. It is a positive move as Buffalo will now have the rest of the year to properly scout their talent as well as other teams in order to also look for their next head coach. Buffalo has been a disaster, as a team, all season long. From issues with the usually sturdy special teams to start the year to their defense allowing far too many rushing yards, Buffalo was at it’s worst when on offense.
Buffalo will now have the chance to review their current roster and bring in a new coach who can have a game plan and some idea of a direction he would like this team to go. Dick Jauron’s biggest problem as a coach is he was not able to give this team an identity, and it showed. The only problem with the firing is thCoach Dick at Dick was such a likable guy it is tough to see him get fired. But it is good to see Buffalo finally taking their team seriously and making the harsh, but necessary moves.

I’m leaning towards Miami for my new favourite team to replace the Bills. They run the ball. The wildcat is interesting to watch. What a disaster…
